Foam dressings create a moist environment around a wound to promote healing and prevent bacteria and other contaminants from being able to enter. The contact area of a foam dressing is non-adherent and non-linting, so the dressing is easy to remove.
Foam dressings are suitable for use on the following types of injury

✚ surgical wounds
✚ skin grafts
✚ minor burns and abrasions
✚ infected wounds
✚ lacerations
✚ pressure ulcers/injuries (stages 2 to 4)
