Going Green...
At our Headquarters, we have recently fitted solar panels to continue our efforts to protect the environment, reduce our carbon footprint and futureproof our energy supply. This installation has significantly increased our cost-savings which has allowed us to pass on these savings to our client base.
Currently, 37.9% of our energy usage is powered by Solar energy, with the intention of increasing this over the coming years.
Where possible, we encourage every employee to use our recycling bins as well as minimise the amount of paper we print on. IMS has installed paperless invoicing through sending emails to customers. Additionally, we have decided to reduce the number of printed catalogues we issue by utilising online digital platforms, where all of our clients can easily access interactive PDF brochures from multiple devices. For any customer who still prefers a physical catalogue, we use PEFC Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification certified paper and offer a recycling service for when they are no longer required.
Furthermore, we were the first consumables supplier in the Veterinary market to have a dedicated green section within our product portfolio. The range currently includes 100+ products with various sizes and types available which will continue to grow over the coming years.
